Had to share… So, the other day I went for a late lunch with a close girlfriend at a newly built restaurant in the El Segundo area of Southern California. The spot is called Salt Water Grille and boasts of a huge indoor seating area as well as two decadent outdoor fire pit areas. While it was under attended at the hour we were dining, all the waitresses and waiters were very attentive as the game played on the flat screens above the lengthy bar… Which brings me to the most important bit of information here. As afairly longtime vodka drinker, I thought I’d made my way, at some point or another, through the rounds of different distilled spirits. But not so! On this very day I tasted the most amazing martini ever! It is called the Black Cherry Lemon Drop (sounds sexy, huh?). It is. The sultry sweet concoction is the stuff of dreams. It’s like your favorite, super saccharine-filled cherry and lemon candy condensed into a succulent liquid and it is all because of the Black Cherry Effen Vodka from Holland. Yes, this is serious. However, Effen is not carried at every restaurant (shame on them!) so I took it upon myself to provide you with the recipe for this aqueous fantasy.

2 parts EFFEN Black Cherry
1/2 part Triple Sec
1 part Sweet & Sour
1 Sugar Pack
2 Lemon Wedges (Squeezed)
Splash of Grenadine
Mix ingredients and serve as a Martini with a sugar rim and a Lemon wheel.
